Bringing together 30 young people from 15 countries to tell the stories that matter at Rework the World through film, radio, photography, blogging, graphic and social media.

World Youth Congress 2010, 31 July – 13 August 2010, Istanbul, Turkey

Working as a special task team of 3 representers to engage in and support the media effort of the 5th World Youth Congress, collaborating a group of 10 mediamakers to facilitate 100 young journalists from all around the world, and report on our experience as delegates, creating new media as we go.

Representing Youth attends the 5th World Youth Congress in Istanbul to support the media effort and report on our process as delegates. The program has invited 100 Young Journalists to cover the event, and we will be assisting the facilitation team for this mammoth task. We will be using a host of media technologies to produce a consistent live media flow of the upcoming reportage, and present it as a “Virtual Congress” online. Media delegates vary in experience from beginner to advanced and the results of the combined effort reaches to a multitude of publications and media channels all around the world, and through the Turkish government press office to the 140+ embassies of all participants, who will then redistribute to their local press offices and agencies, resulting in a huge potential of worldwide media influence.
