Why Rework the World?

Critical approach to “Sustainable” efforts

Hearing Carl Mossfeldt, one of the heads of state during the Rework the World, I feel motivated to explore some questions. I get questions that I seek to explore during this large summit in Leksand, Sweden. I am part of a group of young people, together forming a team that is literally representing the voice of youth.

On a global level, this conference could push the limits of many barriers today. Inviting local heros, business man, millionaires to collectively take a step towards providing young people green jobs in the future creates excitement.

Where is the money really going in these times when sustaibale business and foreign aid is increasing?

Listen to the rhythm of nature and create your own holistic understanding of our planet.

This conference will possible create positive loops for the enviroment. In that sense, a new market that is not focused on economic growth, the current management of resources and centralized decision powers can possible emerge. My market is not consuming resources, it is trading moral values and collaborative efforts in diversity.

I must say that I am very critical to the name Rework. People may think we do not have very much time until we stand in front of a global mass destructive natural disaster that would cut a large amount of the citizens at our planet. Are we ready to take action? How much is just an endless combat between economical powers?

I must admit that I don’t know what is really the interest behind this conference.

    • For me, the most important energy I would bring into the field of Leksand  is to promote the importance of really understanding how nature works before we work in nature.

So either you call it a panic conference that are just spreading the good word that we are in the right directions, ignoring the fact that we often tend to look upon global warming without understanding its real source. We can also call it a big discovery in terms of entrepreneurship and sustainability on a global level. I believe that what we consider work today has to shift towards a relationship with the natural world. Before creating a whole new ecosystem of business, do we really understand the ecosystem in nature?

My hopes is that I will get inspired by innovations made in the areas of Water, Energy and Land. My hope is that entrepreneurs on this conference are driven by profound dreams and not by financial income or by the comfort through solving issues. I also seek to explore dialogues with inspiring changemakers from different countries. I intend to tell the stories with the Dream Team, spread it to a global audience through the true perspective of youths.
